THE SIN OF INGRATITUDE

Two Canadians and a British hostage were rescued in Iraq Thursday, after a dramatic raid by multinational forces located the men.

They’d been held for almost four months, taken by a shadowy group known as the Swords of Righteousness Brigades.

James Loney of Toronto, Harmeet Singh Sooden of Montreal and British citizen Norman Kember were in the country with the Christian Peacemaker Teams, a religious organization designed to help oppressed Iraqi citizens.

Loney's family released a statement to the press concerning the rescue. You can read this press release by clicking on the link below. Please take note that in NO PART of the statement is there ANY expression of thanks to the American, British, Iraqi and possibly Canadian rescuers. What part of Christianity does this family overlook when offering no word of thanks for those who saved their family member's life? Please recall the gospel account of the ten lepers cured by Christ. The Lord Himself took note of the fact that only one of the ten returned to give Him thanks.

We are happy the three hostages are free. We are at the same time appalled by the lack of Christian appreciation to those who placed their own lives at risk to produce the happy ending.
